I would think so I am only 5'3" and ordered petite and they are ok for me but still a bit too long in the rise

BEST ANSWER: I have four pairs of these shorts and I really love them. They are very comfortable and a good length for an 80 year old. They wash and dry with no wrinkles. Love them.
