BEST ANSWER: I wish I could give you a good answer, but I can't. Everything about me is difficult. I am very short and very old. So they fit below my knee, which I like, I think they are true to size, but the nice part about them is if your weight fluctuates, they expand or contract as needed. I really like them. That probably didn't help much.

I have tried these shorts on. They are true to size and comfortable for me (size 18 or XL). They come to right above the knee as the picture indicates and are roomy. I look forward to wearing them on vacation.

They do go just above the knees and they are true to the size on the calcutta shorts however,the split skirts they are not true to the size they are way too long and bulky.

Iwear a 10 petite in the split skirt. What size would be comparible in the shorts? They are sized different than the split skirt.

BEST ANSWER: I the same size the different is in the length the split skirt comes below the knees and the shorts above the knees it is the length between the waist and crotch that is different in the petite shorter then a regular size hope this helps

BEST ANSWER: I too wear size 14 and Med fits me fine but I have a big waist and smaller hips and thighs. The time I have bought Blair pants in Large, they have been too baggy. The good thing is you can return the pants/shorts if they don't fit right.

I would recommend the Large size. I wear a 10 or 12 slacks (depending on the color, daybreak runs small) and wear a Med. in the calcutta shorts.

BEST ANSWER: Calcutta is the most comfortable material to wear in the summer. It's better than just wearing smooth cotton because the texture keeps it from clinging to your skin. Highly recommended!

BEST ANSWER: No idea. My advice is stay away from these shorts. I bought blues ones and they bled all over my clothes. After several washings, I still have to wash them separately, which is a real pain.

It is a cotton and polyester blend that really feels like mostly cotton. It is breathable, goes in the washer and dryer and runs true to size. It is also very comfortable to wear in hot weather.
