Does this top "fit" like an empire waist top?

BEST ANSWER: No, it does not. It drapes very nicely. It is very comfortable. I absolutely love it-I bought it in two different colors.

In general, if a person normally wears size 1X or XXL top in other brands, what size would be a good fit in this top?

BEST ANSWER: Blair sizes are a bit bigger than other places, so I will suggest you go down a size. I bought this top in what I thought it was my regular size but it was a little bigger. So definitely down size. I hope this has help you!!

The same size should be comparable in the Blair top. It was for me. And the fit was comfortable, just like it appears in the picture--not too tight, not baggy either.

BEST ANSWER: Absolutely not! I got this top in an aqua blue and I'm a plus size. I've had many compliments on it. Nice, comfortable top to wear with denim shorts or jeans.

what material is inset? Alll cotton?

BEST ANSWER: The top is polyester and cotton, including the inset, but the inset is softer than the outer layer.

Yes or cotton blend. Very nice.
