It's 60% cotton, 40% polyester. The inside of the garment is very soft and fuzzy and feels really nice against the skin. It's fairly warm and would be suitable for fall and early winter, My only complaint is that it could have used a collar to keep the neck warm when the weather is cold; otherwise, it's very comfortable to wear.

BEST ANSWER: I bought two sets in XL since I wanted "roomy" for comfort. I would say they are true to size, been washed many times and I do not notice any shrinkage. Nice weight...very pleased with my purchase.
