does this item come in petite sizes?

BEST ANSWER: I just looked at my coat and it just says Medium and does not mention petite. But I'm 5ft 1inch tall and it comes down to my knees when I wear it. I figure for me that is perfect because it keeps me warmer. I hope this info helps you.

I've not come across any information that indicates whether this garment is available in petite

BEST ANSWER: Yes It is difficult to get to and time consuming but the snaps work when you are in a hurry and it is a wonderful coat!!!

I have not noticed a real problem. However, I'm frequently in a hurry, so I just snap it. Perhaps I have unconsciourly been influenced by the zipper's difficulty. I would buy the coat again.

The parka was purchased for my wife who is 5'10" and it comes to the knees. Hope this helps.

This coat hit me about 6 inches below the hips. But then I am short--5feet 4 inches. Don't know how it would be on a tall person.

Is this warm enough in a snowy winter of about 12-40 degrees F.? Is the berry or the blue nicer shade of color?

BEST ANSWER: I love the coat. It is so lightweight yet very warm. I took the hood off and just wrap a scarf around the color and it is toasty. I'm a hearty Minnesotan so no problem with the cold weather. I have the berry color and have had plenty of compliments on it.

I live in Michigan and I wore it all last winter. I usually have a long-sleeved shirt on under it and I was warm enough. I like both colors, but if I had to choose, I would say I like the berry color better.

I like my blue one...except for the lining of the body of the coat. It is a black and white plaid! I love the coat for travel since it is light weight and easy to stuff in the overhead compartment of the airplane. I have worn it in below freezing but would suggest a fleece or warm wool sweater if you go down to 12 degrees. I would not wear it for prolonged periods of being outdoors. Best for in and out of the car for shopping or for travel.

I have the berry coat. I think it's a good color. When it's below 32 degrees, I just wear a sweater under it, and I'm nice and toasty warm. I love the fact that it's longer and helps keep my legs warm.

there are 2 zipper pulls and i cant get the coat opened. 'what do i do?

BEST ANSWER: I had the same problem when I got mine. I had to have my husband use some muscle but he just pulled them both down all the way to the end and it eventually unzipped. If you are looking at the coat as if you are wearing it the pulls will come off and be on the right hand side. Once you get into it I hope you love it as much as I did. I even ordered one as gifts for my daughter-in-law and my mom and I have gone back and ordered another for myself for when this one wears out!

Make sure that both zipper pulls are lined up and are flush to the bottom of the coat. Once they are there hold the zipper pulls down and pull the jacket up.

Why is the hood described as being "three piece"? It appears to be one piece to me.

BEST ANSWER: it actually is a one piece unit to wear. I think they're referring to the fact that it is three pieces of material sewn together - two side pieces and a top, which makes for a smoother fit, and you don't look like a cone head. I LOVE this coat/jacket.
