are these 100% cotton?

BEST ANSWER: Yes, they are 100% cotton. They do not shrink either. They have a loose fit so if you don't like them loose, go down a size. I love mine and have three pair.

Does the drawstring work or is it for show only?

BEST ANSWER: The drawstring, which is cotton, does work. The waist is fully elasticized, and the drawstring is anchored in the inside center back of the waist so that the drawstring ends stay the same length.

The drawstring does work though it does not go all the way around only in the front.

BEST ANSWER: I wear a size 14 in other brands because my hips are wide. With these pants, I would've ordered large but was told that they run big. So i ordered medium and they fit perfectly. I like them, they wash well in cold water and keep their shape. Hope this answers your question.

They run smaller than most of Blair's pants which tend to be a little baggy on me. I'd say the thighs fit me perfectly. I am size 14 and the hips and waist are good too. The only thing I don't like is they do need ironing.
