I don't know. I bought a medium and it was very large. I had to have it taken in. I also took the buttons off - it's much prettier without them.

What color are the buttons?

BEST ANSWER: As I recall, the buttons were a dark brown - looked sort of like wood. I took them off - and the jacket looks great without them. There are strong snaps that close the jacket (and don't show). The buttons were really just decoration. It does run large, though.

The buttons are a dark brown. However, the jacket does not close with the buttons but has snaps. So if you do not like the buttons they can be easily replaced with any color or size. Otherwise, this is a nice versatile summer jacket.

They are a dark brown with a bronze to gold hint of a design. You cannot see the design unless you look really close. So just looking at the buttons they would appear brown.
