BEST ANSWER: My husband is very satisfied with this cardigan; it washes well and he did not experience any shrinkage after it was washed. These cardigans are hard to find; we are very pleased that Blair offers them at a reasonable price.

I have washed the cardigan many times and it does not shrink. I do not put it in the dryer. I lay it on a towel to dry.

I don't wash this -- we sent it to the Dry Cleaners (just my thing I do) and it kept it's shape just fine.

What does "Option: RG OR TL mean?

BEST ANSWER: I believe it refers to the length of the sweater- regular or tall. My father is about 5'10" and the regular fits him great, covers his rump, which is what he wanted.

Is this cardigan lightweight or heavy knit? Would it be okay for summer wear?

BEST ANSWER: This cardigan is lightweight and would be perfect for summer for a person who needs more warmth when the temperature is 72 degrees or less. I purchased this for my 70 year old Dad who was ill and got chilled easily even in the summer. He loved it! This cardigan is soft, breathable, and very comfortable.

Is the small size in the advert small or larger?

BEST ANSWER: It is a pretty good fit for my husband. He only weighs 123 lbs-he has lost a lot of weight because of Parkinson's Disease. The medium was way to big, but the small is very comfortable and looks nice.

I think the sweater I ordered is large for its size. I ordered a medium. I was replacing a 25 + year old sweater that had a size large take in it. I wish I had ordered a small.

what is RG and TL?

BEST ANSWER: To my knowledge, "RG" stands for regular length, while "TL" stands for tall men's length. Some sweaters are just too short, from shoulder to waist or hips level, particularly for taller men. The other sizes are for shoulder, chest measurements.
