BEST ANSWER: Although the descriptions says it will expand to add 4 inches, I don't think the expansion is exactly 4 inches...... my husband has a 40 waist, so I order 40 with the "expand-a-band" comfort waistband. This size is comfy for him without the binding feeling of the "fixed" waistbands.

BEST ANSWER: These are 100% cotton. I wear them in aerobic classes. They are very comfortable and do not bind.

BEST ANSWER: yes the only problem i have had is that the adjust part on one pair had broken and i had to sew it back together other than that they fit great and feel good to wear
