No. And it does not have a chin strap either. So it is a challenge to wear when it's windy.

7 3/4 is that a XL, or a Large hat?

BEST ANSWER: I ordered a large and it was to big for me sent it back and got a medium fits perfect I wear a 71/4 I think the large was about 71/2 so in my opinion 73/4 would be XL by the way I love the hat wear it around the ranch whenever I'm there !

The hat does not have a sweat band. Generally I would recommend this hat be worn in cooler weather as it's wool. A terrific hat though.

How do you crush it?

BEST ANSWER: You can roll it up, squish it into your auto glove box, step on it, smash it into your suitcase, etc... I've done it all & brush it off with a hair brush & water. It takes back the shape & looks new again! I absolutely Love Mine, I wear it every day. (Honest)

I love this hat! But I wouldn't recommend actually crushing it (as mashing it into a ball). To pack it, you can essentially fold it in half along the front peak, and then roll up the brim on each side so that it packs flat.

We have never tried to crush it, but I believe it can be rolled up for packing, traveling, etc. It is supposed to snap back into shape in an instant.

M is a medium size. as for my self, I take a large. I'm at the top of the size chart for that size. I really like those hats.. Also, you can check the size chart in the catologues and measure your head with a cloth tape measure and convert the size.
