What is R and TL.?

BEST ANSWER: I believe "R" is size regular. The letters "TL" are meant for size tall in a longer length.

What is it made of?

BEST ANSWER: I have ordered several of these type shirts and they wash and wear well but you must wash in cold water. They are cotton and polyester and the colors are bright and colorful. Very little if any shrinkage.
