what is the back like?

BEST ANSWER: Same, lace and elastic as in front. The width is 4 inches but that includes the lace band around the ribs.

BEST ANSWER: I think as long as you size the ribcage number size correctly, it should fit at the straps/base. The cup lace material has a lot of stretch, but for a G size, it might be a little tight.

Judith, I am a 40C and it fits me but I do not think it would fit a 40 G, it seems it would be too small a cup.

BEST ANSWER: Absolute coverage! I love this bra! It does not provide tremendous support, however it is comfortable, pretty, and easy to wear. I am a 32 DDD.

Is the back all lace?

BEST ANSWER: i can't answer your question because I didn't keep this item for more than 3 minutes...I returned it due to the fact that it barely fit around my arm, much less my rib cage. I'm 5'3" tall, 108 pounds, and a small in anything usually fits me fine, but this was no bigger than a roll of paper towels around. Wish it had fit, but it didn't.

It is the same material as the front. If I recall correctly. It's less fabric in the back. I really like these.

BEST ANSWER: I'm a size 36C and I got the large--I find the elastic rather tight but I think I'm larger around than you. I NEED the Large for the cup size.

Is the elastic in the bras covered with silk?

BEST ANSWER: The elastic that runs along the base of the bra doesn't seem to be covered in silk, but with something that is comfortably soft. The elastic continues around the shoulders and is not covered, but again, its soft. I'm quite sensitive and it doesn't bother me, if that's why you're asking.

No, the elastic is stitched on in the normal way and left exposed inside the bralet. The fibers of the lace are a blend of silk and other materials. It's a very comfortable bralet.
