The tag says 50% polyester, 50% cotton.

I guess it would be a cotton knit. I love this shirt, however, it is way too big to wear anymore. I have had many compliments on it. I also orde4red it in a smaller size and it said I would receive it and never did nor was I given an explanation which is a bit irritating. I was not charged for the smaller size so no idea what happened. I hope this helps.

It is a soft knit. I have washed it and it washed beatifully. I didn't put it in the dryer; I hung it to dry. This is a really pretty top snd I have received compliments on it every time I wear it.

The photo shows about where it hits me in the front. I purchased a red turtle neck sleeveless sweater to wear under it - but not necessary. But it does bring out the stiches. Enjoy!
