Washable Wool Blanket 3.1 5 15 15
Luxurious Blanket Warm, soft, and classic toffee color. Bought two, and am thinking about getting a few more as gifts for the Holidays! October 23, 2014
Somethings mixed in the wool. The blanket arrived and I was disappointed when I opened the package. There were many small white strings dispersed thought the blanket. I pull one off and found that it was quite hard, plastic like and then pulled off another which was softer. My purple wool blanket clearly had something mixed in with it. It is advertised as 100 % wool but with this white string dispersed through I'm not so sure. The label says it's made in China. January 15, 2014
disappointed, too fragile, too large I bought a queen size last Christmas and I was raving about how great the one I have for many years. Well, you have made it different. The quality has changed. Please go back to the original way you made it when it first came out in early 2002 I think it was. My full size hunter green is still lasting strong, I have washed it in cold water several times and its sturdy. This new one I bought is too fragile, a hole was made and it spread to 3 feet. Sorry for me, now I see why ppl had been complaining. I was able to sew it up on my machine, but its too fragile and too large. Its more like a king size. December 14, 2013
Toasty WARM 100% wool blanket...very cozy Oh...yummmy! We have been using ours for two winters. I was worried about the initial washing. Purchased a King even though have Queen sized bed. Because of tendency of natural fibers to shrink. Used cold water, but wool 'felts' in hot dryers normally. This did shrink up some. But it did NOT felt. Whew! I was relieved. It is still large enough for our needs. But do buy larger than bed size, unless you plan to dry clean. Nothing defective about this...it is normal for genuine wool. Color fast. All perfect. Remember too this is wool...so scratchy. We use flannel sheets so is does not itch. Actually have a light cotton waffle-weave layer in between, so IF the wool is too warm for that particular night we can throw it back for awhile till we need it later in the night. I love the natural camel color...blends with everything very nicely. January 10, 2013
Shedding and Odor I should have paid more attention to the reviews. The shedding, even after 2 washings, is incredible. Not only that, but I still cannot get rid of the chemical odor. I have the Latte so I don't know if all colors are the same. On the positive side, it is lightweight but warm. Sadly, I certainly would not purchase another one. January 7, 2013
Half the blanket washed away This blanket, which I bought for my mom for Christmas, lost half of its fibers when she washed it. The lint was in huge piles, one from the washer and one from the dryer. Junk! I believe Blair sells only junk and will not be shopping here again. December 26, 2012
wool blanket I was really looking forward to this blanket. They looked so good in the catalog and online. However, when the first one came (latte) I kept it. I found that the stitches of the satin to the blanket were poorly done. Almost like basting stitches. I kept the blanket anyway but when the red one came, I returned it and also cancelled the eggplant on backorder. This blanket could have been a best-seller with better construction. December 11, 2012
Warm blanket I bought a full/queen size in Hunter and have it for over 9 yrs...it cost me $39 back then. It is the warmest blanket we own. I washed it for the first time this fall. COLD water, LINE dry, no problems. I just ordered another one in Latte with a 30% off free ship still a great buy. Its cold outside and I love that it is warm and washable wool. November 26, 2012

Window Measurements
(For tips on how to measure for the perfect bedding, scroll down the page.)

Use the instructions below to measure for the perfect fit.

  • -Use a metal measuring tape or wooden yardstick. Flexible cloth tapes are not accurate.
  • -Be precise. Measure for length and width in three different places.
  • -Take notes clearly. Indicate which measurement is the width and which is the height. It is very common to mix up the measurements.
  • -When measuring, don’t be surprised if your window is not square. It probably won’t be noticeable if it’s a little off. Consider an outside mount for blinds and shades, to hide the imperfection.

Horizontal blinds or pleated shades

For inside mount installation:
1. Determine width: Measure (A) where headrail or roller will be installed.
2. Measure length: Measure (B) from top on inside of window casement to windowsill.

For outside mount installation:

1. Determine width: Measure (C) where brackets will be installed. Overlap the window by at least 1½” on each side for light control.
2. Measure length: Measure (D) from top of the window casement to the window sill.

For vertical blinds, use outside mount installation only.
1. Determine width: Measure (C) where headrail will be installed. Headrail must overlap the window or patio door by at least 3” on each side for vanes to stack when the blind is open.
2. Measure length: Measure (D) where the top of the headrail will be installed to the window sill or to the floor.

Pinch-pleated draperies.

1. Determine your rod width:
For center-draw draperies: Rods can be mounted on the window frame, or any place on a wall you want to cover. Decide your bracket position and then measure the width between the brackets. If you don’t already have a traverse rod, add 4” to each side, left and right, to account for return. Return is the measurement from the wall to the face of the rod. Also, if you intend to open draperies to the casement, or desire maximum privacy, insulation and/or light control, the rod should be approximately 15% wider than the window (multiply width by 0.15).
For one-way draw draperies: Measure your window width, add 4” for the return on one side and 1” for drapery to extend past the rod. Also, if you intend to open draperies to the casement, or desire maximum privacy, insulation and/or light control, the rod should be approximately 15% wider than the window. (multiply by 0.15)

2. Determine curtain/drapery width:
Once you have determined total rod width, use the chart below to determine the correct pinch pleated drapery width to order.

Pinch-pleated draperies.

    1. Determine width. Measure the area to be covered. Unless otherwise instructed in the item description, order at least 2 times the width measured for a full, custom look.
    2. Determine length. Measure from the top of the rod to the windowsill (B), apron (C) or floor (D). Subtract ½” for floor or sill clearance.

Replacing Existing Window Coverings

Measure across the top of panels and down one side of the coverings you already have. Order the closest size.

Use this diagram to help you find the correct measurements.
A – Window width including casement
B – Length to windowsill-subtract ½” for clearance
C – Length to apron
D – Length to floor-subtract ½” for clearance
