The blanket was very scratchy, even after being washed and a softener use. It was quite skimpy. I am sorry that I did not buy the acrylic blanket. I had hoped for something soft and snuggle with no itching to deal with. I cannot put it on my new bed and really do not know what I will do with it. It certainly was not as advertised. I will think very hard before ordering from Blair in the future.

Just what I hoped it would be. Even smells a bit like I remember in my childhood of my grandmothers ol' wool blankets. Price is great, and for rustic use, and warmth they are exactly what I needed,

Rated 4 out of 5 by Debra9 This is a good winter weight blanket.
My only criticism of this product is that it is too short for a deep mattress. The blankets should be about 6 or so inches longer. I have a tall husband and I cannot tuck his side in at the end and have it stay. If I do tuck it in he cannot fully cover up with it.

This made in China wool blanket is lightweight and warm and a generous size. We entertain ourselves when awake by picking out the excelsior and burr pieces distributed about the whole piece. Thankfully the machinery smell evaporated after about a week. Overall, the blanket does what it is supposed to very well.

I would recommend this blanket. But not putting it next to your skin. It's very rough, even after washing, and I even used a fabric softener. So to make it work for me, I put it between 2 fleece blanket's which are very soft. The other drawback not very wide, for a twin bed. Fleece blanket's are much wider and cover the wool blanket on all sides. Again it works for me.

I ordered this blanket for my mom who wanted a washable wool blanket to wrap her 92 year old body in. She is diabetic and likes to have wool around her when she sleeps. Found this blanket to be very rough and full of bristle like threads. Definitely not soft as advertised.
She now has to cover the blanket with sheets top and bottom and then wrap it around herself. Disappointed in the product. Why oh why is it so difficult to find a good washable wool blanket.??

The blanket arrived full of fuzz and various color lint pieces. It smelled terrible so we followed the washing instructions and washed it. It left a ton of lint in the washing machine. It still smelled so we rinsed it again. More lint. Still smelling. We put it in the dryer. Way more lint and it still smelled. We kept it outside over night and it still smells. The smell is petroleum. It's back in the box ready for the post office tomorrow. Seriously, why are you selling this product?
